Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in our inpatient ward and gynaecology day unit.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to a positive working environment and ensure patients receive a high standard of care.
- Ensure patient-focused care and maintain patient dignity and privacy at all times.
- Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other relevant guidelines.
- Provide psychological and emotional support to patients in the gynaecology inpatient ward and gynaecology day unit.
- Act under the direction of the registered nurse in charge of the nursing team in setting standards and expectations for the quality of care.
- Maintain effective communication with all disciplines, patients, and relatives.
- Represent patients at multi-disciplinary meetings and ensure their needs are assertively presented.
- Ensure adherence to Trust and Unit policies and procedures, and act according to the Health & Safety Act and manual handling practice.
- Essential:
- RN1/RN2 Adult on NMC register
- Diploma or degree in Adult Nursing
- Desirable:
- Practice assessor qualification
- Experience of supporting students in clinical practice
