About the Role

The Community Pub Manager at The Bear & Ragged Staff is an exciting opportunity to join our leased and tenancy team as a leader in the pub industry. As the new leader of The Bear & Ragged Staff, you will be responsible for driving business growth, fostering strong relationships with local residents, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the pub, including managing staff, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The Bear & Ragged Staff boasts a beautifully refurbished interior, complete with a spacious dining area, a well-stocked bar, and a comfortable lounge area. This community-focused pub has become a hub for locals and visitors alike, hosting various events and activities throughout the week.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a motivated team of staff, focusing on excellent customer service and employee engagement.
  • Drive sales growth through effective marketing strategies, promotions, and events.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, manage inventory, and control costs.
  • Build strong relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to promote the pub's community-focused initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and other relevant legislation.
