Precision Machinist

Overview:
Travail Employment Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join their sub-contract workshop in Bristol. As a Precision Machinist, you will be responsible for operating an XYZ Turning machine with Proturn controls, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and managing your own workload.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £30,420 per annum, paid at £15.00 per hour. The role also comes with a range of benefits, including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, free parking, and a pension scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Running an XYZ Turning machine with Proturn controls
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Managing your own workload with jobs allocated from the machining supervisor
- Machining precision engineering parts producing small batches and one off's to fine tolerances but not normally aerospace
Requirements:
- Successful candidates will have experience in producing machined parts from engineering drawings
- Candidates with strong manual turning skills may have the opportunity to focus on this area rather than CNC turning
- A background in engineering or time-served experience as a skilled machinist would be advantageous
About the Role:
This is a permanent position working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. The location is in Bristol BS16.
