Placement Coordinator

As a forward-thinking progressive department, we are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised Band 4 Administrative Assistant to join our Clinical Skills Team as a Placement Coordinator. This role is key to facilitating the allocation of placements across the Integrated Care Organisation (ICO), working with a range of education providers from Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) to local schools.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will provide cross-cover for the Clinical Education and Widening Participation teams and will be required to:
- Engage with diverse learners
- Liaise directly with partner organisations, such as the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter, in relation to specific pre-registration programmes and placement allocation
- Liaise with the PDT team and workforce to support allocation of placements and placement capacity
In collaboration with the wider Placement Development Team (PDT), the Placement Coordinator will ensure planned placements for relevant programmes meet the requirements of professional bodies/HEIs, including facilitating audits.
Key SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience in managing own area of work and working under pressure to tight deadlines. They will also have strong analytical skills, IT skills, and the ability to review large volumes of detailed data and provide summary reports to senior staff members.
