IT Network Security Specialist

AWTG, a leader in 5G systems integration and application development, is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Security Specialist to join our team.
As a Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing security mechanisms on our 5G infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Security Mechanisms: Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard data transmitted over O-RAN and 5G Core interfaces, ensuring compliance with 3GPP and O-RAN standards.
- Network Security Development: Design and develop O-RAN and Core network security mechanisms from 3GPP and O-RAN specifications, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
- Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our 5G network and recommend remediation measures to ensure the highest level of security.
- Security Audits and Compliance: Collaborate with external auditors to assess our security posture and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain our IT network infrastructure and data center operations, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues within the data center, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for our systems and services.
- Minimum 3 Years' Experience: In-depth technical understanding of 5G architecture and O-RAN networks, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in enterprise networking.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in protocols and technologies including IPSec, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, IDS/IPS, SSH, SNMP, NTP, and thorough knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of network security principles, frameworks, and standards (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, 3GPP 5G Security, O-RAN security specifications), with hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 for Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load balancing, and Security Networking.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience implementing security measures in cloud environments.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies, with a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in 5G network security.
- Networking and Security Certifications: Hold relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent, demonstrating a high level of expertise in networking and security.
