About the Role

GAP Group LTD is seeking a highly skilled Survey & Safety Technician to join our team. As a Survey & Safety Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.

In this position, you will work with a variety of equipment, including robotic total stations, GPS kits, construction lasers, and other survey & safety products. Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive safety checks and calibration of all hire equipment before dispatch, as well as ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair survey equipment. Additionally, you must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive safety checks and calibration of all hire equipment
  • Diagnose and repair survey equipment using technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurate
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on survey & safety best practices
Requirements:
  • Experience working as a survey technician within a busy depot or similar environment
  • Ability to diagnose and repair survey equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A full UK driving licence
