Firefighter Specialist

Job Summary

Acuity International is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter to join our team. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for performing a full range of emergency response duties, including fire suppression, hazardous materials response, and specialized rescue operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency incidents, including aircraft incidents, structural alarms, and grass or brushfires.
• Operate firefighting equipment and tools, and drive and inspect fire department vehicles.
• Exercise judgment and initiative, and receive and execute direction from Crew Chief or senior member.
• Complete daily work assignments, and maintain firefighting vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant experience is desired.
• IFSAC or ProBoard certification in Airport Firefighter, Driver/Operator ARFF, and other relevant areas.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective working relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid home-of-record driver's license.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Physical requirements may include lifting up to 35 lbs., team lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, extended standing, stretching, or bending.
• Ability to sit and concentrate for extended periods, but also have the mobility to respond immediately to emergency incidents.
• Willing to be flexible regarding working hours and respond quickly to time-sensitive or urgent requirements.
• Ability to live and work in harsh climatic and austere living conditions.
