We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railway Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Network Rail. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the rail network.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on the railway infrastructure, including inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques. They will work outdoors in all weather conditions, often with high-speed trains present.
A key aspect of this role is working as part of a team, supporting essential maintenance activities to keep the railway running smoothly for passengers and freight users. The technician will also have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements- Technical skills – The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques in the discipline they are applying for.
- Relevant qualification – An NVQ Level 1 or 2 linked to the discipline or equivalent level of relevant experience is desirable.
This is a safety-critical role, and the successful candidate will be required to undergo a medical assessment and BPSS pre-employment checks.
What We Offer- An estimated salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
