Job Title Description

At Langland, we're seeking a Healthcare Strategist to join our Brand Strategy team. As a key member of our Advertising discipline, you'll be focused on the art and science of inspirational brand building. You'll work closely with our Scientific Strategists in the Medical Strategy & Education team, dedicated to delivering compelling clinical stewardship. You'll also collaborate with our PR & Policy team as they develop responsive living communications, and our Clinical Trials team as they create strategies for superior patient trial experiences.

As a midweight role, you'll be responsible for independently and proactively managing projects, workloads, and deliverables. You'll have an innate dissatisfaction with norms and continually look for ways to upskill, innovate, and improve yourself, our team, and our agency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing marketing, brand, and creative strategies while demonstrating knowledge of fundamental strategy techniques, types of strategy, basics of insight, and tactical planning.
  • Identifying client business problems and seeking strategic answers to issues.
  • Interpreting client brand plans and translating them into action plans, developing comprehensive creative strategies based on client needs.
  • Producing compelling and inspiring insights and briefs.
  • Keeping the creative process on brief and taking client stakeholders along the briefing and creative journey.
  • Providing strategic feedback to the creative team, ensuring the voice of the customer is at the heart of the work.
  • Managing the creative validation and concept testing process.
  • Collaborating with scientific strategists, leveraging their insight and deep scientific understanding to build superior evidence-based strategy.
  • Constructing customer journey tactical plans across multi-media.
  • Managing research and insight design, translating data into compelling insights.
  • Cross-tabulating all research and market analysis to formulate objectives.
  • Monitoring client and competitor activity, keeping on top of market trends, M&A, new product launches, market and brand growth statistics, and market financial reports.
  • Confidently selling the planning tools, processes, steps, and methods of the agency both internally and externally.
  • Supporting the lead strategist in a workshop environment, playing a key role in break-out groups.

Qualifications

This role is suited to a Strategist with proven experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. You should have:

  • A working knowledge of brand positioning methodologies.
  • An understanding of how brands grow, as well as the different strategies and tactics used to drive growth.
  • A deep love of the creative product and value the craft.
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to actively participate in client meetings.
  • Solid experience in constructing and running excellent workshops from large to small client teams, particularly brand and communications planning sessions.
  • Excellence in PowerPoint and visualization of concepts and data, able to bring to life a compelling strategic story on screen.
  • Strong writing ability and understanding of the value in accurate and well-crafted PowerPoint presentations.
