Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
- Conduct risk assessments, design strategies to minimize hazards, and generate SSOW based on findings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, including site construction regulations, waste management, and COSHH.
- Develop and maintain robust health, safety, and environment management systems.
- Record and manage all accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Engage with employees, contractors, and suppliers on health and safety matters.
- Coach and support R&D and engineering teams to generate new solutions to health and safety issues.
- Communicate positive health and safety performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated health and safety management experience across chemicals or engineering.
- Background in chemical, engineering, and/or R&D (desirable).
- NEBOSH Diploma (advantageous).
- Knowledge and experience in developing and internally auditing safety management systems based on legislation and ISO 45001 (desirable).
- Development, management, and audit of health and safety management systems (minimum HSG65).
- Passion for health, safety, and wellbeing, with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
