Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with both mechanical and electrical expertise to work in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and effective completion of on-site reactive and planned maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Planner to ensure the completion of on-site reactive and planned maintenance duties, liaising with relevant departments to minimize downtime.
  • Use mechanical and electrical skills to complete maintenance and repair activities across a range of equipment.
  • Support maintenance shutdowns and understand system drawings and machinery manuals.
  • Diagnose defects, effect repairs, and evaluate results.
  • Act as a role model and lead by example, demonstrating company values, behaviors, and high-performance standards at all times.

Working Hours

Friday to Sunday, 6am - 6pm, with overtime available paying 1.5 or double time depending on shift.

Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained Maintenance Technician with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
  • Multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical expertise, including 18th Edition Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
