Kings Camps is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our teams as a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard. If you have a passion for developing children's water confidence and ensuring a safe aquatic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We run sports and activity day camps for children throughout the school holidays that deliver our mission – getting children active, having fun and learning together. Our coaches (we call them Red Tops) deliver high quality sports camps with an energy, passion and commitment to child development that we call the Kings Factor.
About the RoleAs an SEQ Level 2/STA Level 2 certified instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering bespoke and engaging 30-45 minute sessions with mixed ability groups aged between 5-17 focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques. This role is open to swimming teachers with or without a lifeguarding qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high quality, enjoyable and worthwhile experiences for children
- Working in an experienced staff team of coaches and managers who provide a strong support network
- Bi-weekly personal evaluation directly from your Manager
- Delivering market-leading swim programmes to children of all abilities

RequirementsWe're looking for individuals with:
- 12 months experience as a swim teacher
- Up to date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification
- Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC)
- Upwards of 6 months experience working with 5 – 17-year-olds
- A collaborative attitude, comfortable with rotating duties and forming positive relationships with both children and staff
- Ability to design, plan and deliver safe, but dynamic sessions from the poolside or in the water using creative techniques that appeal to a wide age range whilst carefully considering child welfare
