The University of Leeds is seeking a Language Support Specialist to provide effective support to the Language Zone Manager and ensure the smooth running of the Language Zone, a language learning resource facility open to all staff and students at the University.
You will provide day-to-day supervision for Language Zone Counter Assistants and assist users in using the Language Zone and its services, developing and delivering language-related activities and workshops to students.
About the Role
- This is a full-time role, approximately 37 hours per week.
- The salary is estimated at £28,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- You will be a professional and proactive team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working primarily on your own initiative, you will be well organised with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work.
- You will work collaboratively with other colleagues across the University, and beyond, to share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange between colleagues to facilitate continuous improvement.
