Job Title: Training Instructor - Instrumentation and Controls

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mactech Energy Group as a Training Instructor, with an engineering bias, at Hinkley Point C (HPC).

HPC is building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

Job Overview

This department will be delivering technical maintenance and engineering training programmes in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and Engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of these key training areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training material in one or more of the key training areas
  • Support training in classroom or workshop environments, as well as providing coaching and mentoring of trainees to expedite learning
  • Act as course coordinator for responsible training areas
  • Lead and deliver training to groups from 1 up to 20 people, depending on the subject and environment
  • Communicate with line managers for the successful development of competence within their teams
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) for development of material
The Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC or higher-level qualification in a relevant technical subject
  • Equivalent experience in a relevant science or engineering-related discipline
  • Experience of Instrumentation and controls (I&C) engineers design, test, install, and maintain equipment
  • Ability to generate and deliver training programmes
  • Knowledge of training processes and evaluation processes
  • Holder of a recognised teaching/training qualification
Salary

£210 - £300 per day dependant on Pay route

This is a long-term role that will allow you to implement your ideas and explore the latest training tool and techniques.
