About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a Accommodation Services Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People.
  • Support and direct staff (paid and voluntary) to ensure the process of transition by young people to or from other services is undertaken in an appropriate and timely way.
  • Use data and management systems to present monthly service contract appraisals to internal management structure and support regular contract review meetings with commissioners.
  • Support routine internal governance audits and respond to any identified actions/improvements.
  • Provide managerial supervision, oversight of work schedules, and allocation of resources to the team.
  • Manage the project's devolved budget.
  • Assist in recruitment in adherence to the Keeping Children Safe in Education framework.
  • Lead, promote, and deliver an innovative service, ensuring equitable provision across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City, deputizing in the absence of the Head of Service.
  • Be proactive in ensuring own continuous professional development to gain the skills required to deliver a fit-for-purpose early intervention emotional wellbeing provision.
  • Take on line management responsibilities for the practice team.
  • Offer creative input and participation in promoting our services across social media platforms.
  • Support the service in system integration, attending key meetings to facilitate cohesive relationships with system partners.
  • Develop and evolve the service, co-produced with service users to continuously meet the changing needs of local people, communities, stakeholders, and commissioners.
  • Develop and maintain internal standard operating procedures, and establish and update referral routes into and out of the service.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of young people and children is paramount for all staff and that they act accordingly within ABL Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensure that risk assessments, risk registers, and cases are prioritized following safeguarding protocols.
  • Ensure that all staff provide services which are appropriate and professional to ensure the health and wellbeing of young people accessing services.
  • Ensure the maintenance, at all levels, of confidentiality in relation to agreed organizational policy.
  • Deliver an outcomes-based service delivery model, achieving and exceeding KPIs, ensuring effective allocation of resources and being responsive to service user, partner, and commissioner feedback.
  • Ensure all monitoring and records are kept up to date, secure, and used appropriately.
  • Ensure high-quality contract performance across all of its key elements, along with effective reporting and budget management.
  • Provide information, qualitative and quantitative data and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Attend management meetings, team meetings, performance review boards, and external steering groups for children and young people services.
  • Provide training to internal staff, volunteers, placements, and external agencies as required.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team including counsellors and be a key member of day-to-day operations, supporting the delivery of KPIs.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years in a mental health-related field.

  • The ability to travel independently across Nottingham / Nottinghamshire and as required to ABL Health HQ in Greater Manchester/any other ABL delivery locations.
  • Work flexibly and adapt to suit service needs.
Experience
  • Proven experience in team leadership, maintenance of effective professional boundaries and service adherence to organizational policy and procedure, including the use of management data tools to enhance service quality and performance.
  • Excellent people management skills and a compassionate leader, demonstrated through motivational interviewing skills and experience in performance management.
  • Experience of supporting day-to-day operational demands in a performance-focused environment, supporting Head of Service to lead and direct a senior, delivery, and admin team.
  • Experience of building therapeutic relationships with young people who have complex needs.
  • Experience in making professional assessments of young people and their mental health.
  • Experience in managing risk in a mental health context.
  • Experience in managing case notes, particularly using an electronic case management system.
  • Experience in using data analysis to inform areas of development.
  • Experience of delivery/management of CYP mental health services.
  • Experience within a commissioning environment.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with the use of Microsoft Office packages and databases.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding in community health setting.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of techniques for community health engagement techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience of Asset Based Community Development.
  • Ability to recruit, induct and support volunteers to the service.
