Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the finance team, producing management accounts, and driving business performance analysis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise the finance team, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Generate monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary, MI analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Analyze business performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Prepare and post accounting journals, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and prior-year data.
  • Monitor balance sheet control, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze financial records.
  • Lead the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation recording.
  • Collaborate with the audit team during year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a Management Accountant role or similar field.
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and IT skills, with expertise in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Desirable: experience with ERP systems and/or PowerBI.
