Job Summary
This role involves overseeing the finance team, producing management accounts, and driving business performance analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise the finance team, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Generate monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary, MI analysis, and variance reporting.
- Analyze business performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
- Prepare and post accounting journals, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and prior-year data.
- Monitor balance sheet control, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze financial records.
- Lead the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation recording.
- Collaborate with the audit team during year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience in a Management Accountant role or similar field.
- ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional analytical and IT skills, with expertise in Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Desirable: experience with ERP systems and/or PowerBI.
