Apprentice Heating Engineer

p>CV Library is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established heating contractor operating within the local authority sector.

They have a vacancy for a qualified domestic gas engineer to cover the HU postcode area carrying out maintenance and repairs within domestic social housing properties on a local housing association contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR) to ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems to maintain optimal performance.
  3. Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records.
  4. Hold a full UK Driving Licence for efficient travel between sites.
  5. Pass a DBS Check to ensure a clean criminal record.
  6. Work a standard 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with additional overtime and weekend work available.
  7. Utilize a company van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA to perform duties effectively.
  8. Enjoy a competitive salary of £36,000 rising to £38,000 per annum after probation, plus a monthly bonus.
  9. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, working 1 week in 4.
  10. Take advantage of 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme.
