Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client, a leading Main Contractor, on one of their exciting Rail projects in the South West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are met on project sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety plans and processes to support delivery of work on Network Rail infrastructure.
- Support the development of the client's relationship with Network Rail.
- Assist in the management of Network Rail standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Carry out regular inspections and audits to ensure company, client, and legislative requirements are being met.
- Investigate close calls, near misses, and other incidents on project sites.
- Identify training needs and provide support to the project team.
- Collate information for monthly reporting to the client and head office.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience of health and safety management within a civil engineering environment in the UK.
- Ideally CMIOSH.
- Network Rail project experience is desirable.
