We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team at Admiral Insurance Plc. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications using NextJS, React, and NodeJS.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop Frontend Applications using NextJS, React, and other relevant technologies.
  • Develop Backend applications using NodeJS in a serverless architecture.
  • Champion Communities of practice and development standards across our development team.
  • Play an active role in agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, sprint planning, and stand-ups.
  • Collaborate with the team to create new solutions for our growing tech stack.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the business, both technical and non-technical.
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the team.

Required Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Organisation and Time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to design solutions and cater for non-functional requirements such as performance and security.

Significant commercial experience in the following areas:

  • Development using JavaScript libraries and frameworks, with a preference for React.
  • Development of serverless applications, with a preference for NodeJS.
  • Development of REST and/or GraphQL API's.
  • PostgreSQL and PGAdmin, or similar relational database experience.
  • Working in a DevOps environment, containerising, deploying, scaling applications, and microservices using CI/CD pipelines.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working in the Insurance sector or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Experience with Salesforce Integration.

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work on site in Cardiff for days per week.
