Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth transfer of capital equipment from design to production, while maintaining compliance with medical device directives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Transfer: Ensure accurate drawings, schematics, and BOMs are in place for production
• Production Planning: Lead planning and organization of design transfer events, executed by the mechanical/electrical/electronics/software design team
• Quality Assurance: Meet internal quality procedures and external standards
• Process Improvement: Implement new methods as needed, and assist in modifications to equipment to achieve desired improvements
• Collaboration: Work with production, R&D, and quality departments to resolve design issues in production, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Validation: Ensure product and process validation, and support the Continuous Improvement manager in optimizing production processes
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, and liaise with development to resolve design issues in production
• Supply Chain Management: Work with design and purchasing teams to mitigate supply chain issues with suitable alternative components, according to technical files and regulatory certification listings
• Documentation: Create, implement, and modify electronic build manuals and work instruction documents for factory operators
• BOM Management: Manage BOM, technical drawings, and work instructions following change or up-issue for continued accuracy, and identify training requirements

Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a strong background in engineering or a technical field, and at least 2 years of experience in design transfer to production. You should possess strong project management skills, be diplomatic and tactful, and have a practical style and positive attitude. Additionally, you should have LEAN exposure, and be able to maintain a high attention to detail and provide well-thought-out solutions.
