Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and friendly service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional manner.
- Process sales and orders, including handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist customers with product information, demonstrations, and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and disposing of trash.
- Collaborate with other sales associates and management to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales goals.
- Computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems a plus.
Working Conditions
Counter sales employees work in a combined retail and warehouse environment and have frequent dealings with the general public. Working conditions are typical of a warehouse environment, with frequent standing and lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds. Forklift operation may be required.
