Roofer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team at Liberty, a leading construction firm dedicated to delivering exceptional housing maintenance and development services. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including full roofing duties, identifying and rectifying roofing defects, and surveying and placing slates/tiles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Full roofing duties, including removal and replacement of roof coverings
- Identifying and rectifying roofing defects to ensure the integrity of the roof
- Surveying and correctly placing slates/tiles in isolated patches
- Re-bedding and renewing hip and ridge tiles
- Repairing and replacing lead valleys
- Point, repair, rebuild chimney stacks and re-bed/renew chimney pots
- Repair mineral felt and asphalt flat roof covering
- Renew/repair lead flashing to chimneys and lead up stands
- Liaise with customers to arrange and carry out work, taking into account their needs and instructions
What We Are Looking For:
- A recognised apprenticeship and qualification (NVQ L2/L3)
- Competence in all aspects of roofing and experience in maintenance work on domestic properties
- Ability to work in confined spaces and hold a current driving licence
- Skilled workers should hold a CSCS card, asbestos awareness, and own tools
