Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Auditor Specialist to join our team at NHS Supply Chain. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with our stakeholders to ensure the effective management of costs and compliance across our contracts.

About the Role

This role is responsible for completing risk-based assurance programmes, providing assurance over SCCL's contracts with key third-party providers. You will work to ensure that Service Providers are complying with financial requirements and other key contractual obligations.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and auditing standards. They will also be experienced in cost audits and contract audits, including producing audit scoping documents and gathering sufficient evidence to support their conclusions.

You will work closely with our Audit Manager to review potential issues and validate them with the auditee. Regular updates will be provided to the auditee regarding the audit's progress and any emerging issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Complete risk-based assurance programmes to provide assurance over SCCL's contracts.
  2. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective management of costs and compliance.
  3. Conduct cost audits and contract audits, including producing audit scoping documents and gathering evidence.
  4. Review potential issues with the Audit Manager and validate them with the auditee.
  5. Provide regular updates to the auditee regarding the audit's progress and emerging issues.
