The freelance event coordinator role will cover tasks across social media channels and the music program, including:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Booking and managing brunches and day parties.
  2. Developing brand ideas for in-house events.
  3. Liaising with external promoters and music industry clients.
  4. Collaborating with the internal music team on new ideas and events.
  5. Researching new artists, brands, and promoters.
  6. Establishing relationships with artists, agents, and agencies.
  7. Setting up events online, including creating ticket links and event pages.
  8. Writing event bios and promotional materials.
Person Specifications
  1. Experience in developing and implementing events programming for similar organizations.
  2. A commitment to promoting diversity and representation, with a knowledge of diverse genres and cultures.
  3. Experience working with brands, brunches, and experiential events.
  4. Understanding of the demands and challenges of organizational change.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to maintain relationships with music industry clients.
  7. Organized, self-motivated, and able to work across multiple events simultaneously.
  8. Excellent organizational, administration, and communication skills.

This role requires someone with previous experience in events, preferred roles include event promotions, booking, and festivals. The event coordinator must have a keen interest in events and an understanding of the varied genres and demographics that Hootananny Brixton works with. The successful candidate will have experience in putting on events and day parties. The team member must be able to work independently and comfortably handle multiple tasks at once.
