About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist I to lead our Product Development team at Mondelēz International. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products and maintaining existing portfolios, with a focus on delivering exceptional consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks.
  • Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.
  • Write technical reports that require the analysis and interpretation of results, leading to conclusions and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
  • Food science, science, or engineering background, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market.
  • Experience working on teams and independently with guidance from a manager.
  • Prioritizing and managing activities.
  • Identifying problems proactively and creating and implementing solutions independently.
  • Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions.
  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing.
  • Putting the consumer at the heart of development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proactiveness in ingredient research and technical solutions to generate breakthrough technology, margin management ideas.
  • Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity.
  • Good understanding of the functional characteristics of ingredients, processing capabilities, and how they impact the finished product to meet consumer and business expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and manage complexity from bench top to commercialization.
Education and Certifications
  • BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Significant experience, preferably in Product Development within the Food Industry.
Work Schedule

Full-time position with no relocation support available.
