Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Primary Class Teacher to join an outstanding SEN school in South West London.
About the SchoolThe school specializes in providing education and support to primary-aged pupils with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism (ASD), many of whom are non-verbal and require assistance with both their learning and daily life tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of non-verbal pupils with Autism.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure each pupil's educational and developmental needs are met.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching primary-aged children.
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with ASD, PMLD, and severe learning difficulties.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to teaching pupils with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by children with Autism and severe learning difficulties, and a commitment to supporting their development.
