Marine Inspector

We are seeking a Marine River Inspector to join our Upper District Harbour Service Launch team based in Richmond. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with PLA regulations, improving safety, protecting the marine environment, and engaging with the public.

Salary: £44,130 per annum (plus a 10% operational allowance and a 15% shift allowance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a service without supervision as part of the Upper District Harbour Service Launch team.
• Gaining a thorough knowledge of PLA regulations and understanding the local area and its key stakeholders.
• Holding a MCA Boatmaster's Licence or a higher STCW qualification is essential.
• A Thames Local Knowledge Endorsement (LKE) is desirable.
• Experience in a public facing and/or regulatory role is also desirable, although full training will be provided.

Working Conditions:

The successful applicant will be employed on a 7 days on, 7 days off shift pattern with each day shift consisting of 10 hours. There may be an obligation to cover other operational requirements outside of this shift pattern.
