About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to join our team at Black Tree Gaming Limited, the owner of Nexus Mods, one of the largest gaming websites online. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for interacting with and looking after our community, understanding their needs and wants, and representing us in various spheres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embody the spirit and ethos of Nexus Mods, acting as a point of contact for users across our forums, Discord, social media, and support platforms.
  • Help expand the reach of Nexus Mods by communicating with mod authors from games we do not currently support, helping them bring their mods to our platform.
  • Provide the "community perspective" when working together with the Design, Web, or Vortex teams on projects, to help steer the development of our platform.
  • Oversee incoming content moderation reports and inboxes, responding to and dealing with high-profile issues with moderation on the site.
  • Manage aspects of our site-wide policy and communications, acting as a main point of contact for our volunteer moderators.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to remain calm and impartial in challenging situations.
  • Experience working with large communities and extensive moderation experience.
  • Understanding of current social and geopolitical issues.
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and take ownership over decision-making.
  • Solid conflict resolution skills.
