About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist with a strong interest in climate to join our climate product suite team. Our climate offerings include our flagship ITR score, emissions estimation models, and other related climate analytics solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will gain a deep understanding of our current methodologies and models, becoming a model owner and working closely with the Product Specialist to develop new climate offerings and upgrade existing models.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Product Specialist and Product Manager to define product requirements for climate offerings.
- Becoming an owner of our existing climate methodologies and models, ensuring they remain state-of-the-art.
- Developing methodologies and models for new climate offerings.
- Serving as a climate methodology and models expert to the sales team in technical presentations and to the technology teams during productionalization.
- Supporting the testing and validation phases of climate products.
- Supporting the launch of climate products.
- Serving as an expert who stays up-to-date on the latest trends in climate, supporting the Product Specialist in identifying new market opportunities.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Good knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning, with a strong methodology background.
- Expertise in climate analytics or a related field, with a strong interest in climate.
- Ability to work independently on projects and maintain a keen attention to detail.
- Natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative.
- Team player with excellent collaboration skills.
