Company Overview: A leading global manufacturing company seeks a skilled CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to join their quality team at a modern facility in South Nottingham.

Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 per annum, plus 10% shift premium, making the total annual salary approximately £40,600 - £46,200.

Job Description:

CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector Role:

The successful candidate will perform dual responsibilities: conducting quality checks to ensure parts and assemblies meet customer requirements, and utilizing CMM programming experience to develop and run new programs. This role involves inspecting manufactured components throughout the day, with an ideal permanent afternoon shift of 2pm – 10pm (8pm finish on Fridays). Some flexibility in shifts may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-part, in-process, and final part inspections to ensure accuracy and complete traceability documentation
  • Perform various quality tests using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, hand gauges, manual CMM, and other tools
  • Maintain quality records as required by the Quality Management System
  • Conduct incoming inspections as needed by the Quality Management System
  • Review part drawings, consult with relevant departments, and construct CMM programs using 3D models
  • Maintain CMM programs and tool inventory to ensure accuracy and accessibility

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of inspection and CMM experience, preferably with Mitutoyo and MCOSMOS
  • Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, OGP, and Manual CMM
