About This Role

Reactive Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Functional Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our assessment centre, you will play a vital role in evaluating the functional capacity of individuals and producing high-quality reports that inform benefit decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the functional capacity of claimants and prepare comprehensive reports on their abilities and limitations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of claimants' physical and mental capabilities, using a range of techniques and tools to gather information.
  • Apply your knowledge of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, or paramedicine to make informed decisions about claimants' fitness for work.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and claimants to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, reports, and correspondence.
What We're Looking For
  • A qualified nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic with at least one year of post-registration experience.
  • Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, etc.) with a valid PIN and no restrictions.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and delve deeper.
  • Able to work efficiently, produce timely reports, and meet targets.
  • Proficient in IT, Microsoft Office, and remote system access.
  • A valid driving license or access to transportation to attend the nearest assessment centre.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, contracted for 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day). You will have flexible working hours to be agreed with your line manager after training, balancing business needs with your work-life balance. Working hours can be between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid one-hour lunch break.

Salary Estimate

The estimated annual salary for this role is £44,350, based on the specified salary range and OTE.
