Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analysis Scientist to contribute to the delivery of scientific experiments at Diamond Light Source. As part of our data analysis group, you will work closely with scientists and engineers to develop world-leading tools and algorithms for X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, data processing, and analysis, with experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software tools to support the analysis of large datasets, as well as collaborating with scientists to ensure timely delivery of results.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant science or engineering area, with a strong interest in supporting scientific research. You will also have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in the following areas is essential:
- Software development in modern programming languages
- Data processing and analysis for X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy
