Project Manager - Automation

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our automation projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to agreed specifications.

As a Project Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact between TGW Group, clients, and third parties, responsible for ensuring that work is undertaken in accordance with client and company specifications and processes.

You will provide leadership to project teams and the business, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications, meeting customer requirements and contractual obligations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to project management, reporting, and financial controls processes
  • Manage commercial and technical risks of the project
  • Ensure policies for Health, Safety, and Wellbeing are implemented on project sites
  • Manage project resources and costs within agreed budgets and timescales
  • Ensure project completion, acceptance, and handover criteria have been achieved as per TGW Group's contractual obligations
  • Manage project approvals required from the customer
  • Manage proposed changes to the agreed project scope, timescales, and budgets
  • Generate an integrated project plan and workstream plans
  • Define quality expectations and targets
  • Ensure project implementation objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, in respect of cost and schedule, in accordance with TGW Group's project, quality, and safety procedures
  • Identify project risks and determine mitigation actions or contingency plans with timely reporting and management
  • Establish the project team structure, resources, and roles and responsibilities
  • Provide direction and support to project Core Team
  • Compliance to TGW Group policies and guidelines with engagement of Business Support Functions, including Global Mobility
  • Develop the project meetings schedule and define lines of communication
About You:
  • Experience of leading and managing projects and project teams
  • History of working on high complexity, high value projects
  • Articulate with good customer-facing skills and the ability to manage projects effectively at all organisational levels
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • English language written and spoken at business level
  • Ability to work away from home across Europe and the UK, with flexibility to be on site full-time at peak times in projects
Desirable:
  • Formal Project Management qualifications and exposure to Prince 2, PMI, APM, or other formal project management methodologies
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • A background in engineering automation industry
