About The Role

Eiffage Kier, a joint venture of international civil engineering and construction companies, is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the Environment Manager in delivering HS2 contract requirements.

This role will involve regular travel to site and other locations within the Delivery Area, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will provide support to the Environment Manager in ensuring compliance with environmental management requirements, including noise trigger levels and water quality discharge consent conditions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist advice to project managers on HS2 contract environmental requirements and EKFB management processes.
  • Supporting the Environment Manager in communications with external stakeholders, including consent granting bodies.
  • Undertaking assurance activities, including document control, audit, non-conformance, surveillance inspections, and incidents.
  • Providing support to suppliers to ensure timely submission of sustainability data and reports.
  • Identifying opportunities for implementing best practice and innovation to achieve cost and programme efficiencies and risk mitigation.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to work within a team, and accuracy of work and attention to detail.

Key qualifications include a degree in a relevant discipline, working towards IEMA practitioner level, and a full driving license.
