Job Title: HGV 2 Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver with HIAB to join our team at a well-established company within the Merchant industry. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

* Load and unload materials, adhering to safe lifting and handling procedures
* Ensure all loads are secure, stable, and not hazardous
* Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety
* Report any concerns about vehicle safety or maintenance to your Branch Manager
* Adhere to company health and safety procedures at all times
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
* Accurately complete delivery paperwork
* Identify opportunities to increase sales and new business leads
* Provide excellent customer service and assistance to customers in the yard or stores areas
* Monitor traffic in the yard to prevent collisions or injuries

Requirements:

* Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
* Full Clean UK licence
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
* CPC and Tachograph Card
* Experience in driving HGV2 with HIAB
* Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations
* Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
* Ability to work independently and efficiently
