Financial Analyst

Our client, Certain Advantage, is a forward-thinking consultancy business that prioritizes exceptional client service and employee engagement. This approach has led to consistent growth, making it an exciting time to join their finance team as a Finance Business Partner.
This newly created role reports directly to the Finance Director and involves working closely with various departments to drive financial and commercial analysis. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and analyzing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial management reports to inform business decisions.
- Monitoring and managing cash flow, debt, and work-in-progress control processes to optimize financial performance.
- Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends impacting business performance, and proposing initiatives for improvement.
- Producing monthly management accounts and variance analysis to enable the Board to make informed decisions.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive best-in-class commercial analysis.
- Performing ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and accounting tasks as required.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in accounting (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) and excellent analysis and reporting skills. Proficiency in SQL, macros, and Power BI is also essential. Additionally, you'll require strong commercial acumen and excellent communication and partnering skills.
