We're seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team at The Carpenter's Arms in Cambridge. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall operation of the pub, maintaining high standards in front and back of house.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, profit, and team retention.
  • Conduct regular stock control and waste management to optimize efficiency.
  • Lead and motivate a talented team, identifying talent and ensuring succession.
  • Implement performance management and regular employee appraisals.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous General Management experience in a gastro or high-quality fresh food environment.
  • Excellent operational and back-office management skills.
  • Strong financial understanding and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Leadership and development skills to motivate and train the team.
  • A results-driven and ambitious individual with a passion for the hospitality industry.
