About the Role

Foster Care Connect Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children and young people in their care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular support and supervision to foster carers, assessing, monitoring, and identifying interventions required.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote a high-quality therapeutic approach to care, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster carers, families, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Scottish legislative and policy context.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work or relevant qualification.
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Proven experience working with children and families, family placement teams, or residential childcare settings.
  • Good working knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation in Scotland.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly and independently.
