Nursing Home Manager Position

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Nurse to take on a leadership position, overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to residents in a Nursing Home setting.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining effective communication with residents, relatives, visitors, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns promptly and resolving issues efficiently.
- Monitoring standards of care delivered by staff, ensuring that all residents receive quality medical and personal care and that care plans are up-to-date.
- Taking part in regulatory inspections and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including CQC standards and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Assuring adherence to statutory requirements, such as COSHH assessments and NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Leading by example, promoting high standards of care, and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Preparing and managing the duty roster to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Appraising staff performance and providing training and guidance on safe working practices and evacuation procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of resident wellbeing, adapting care plans as needed, and liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A First Level Nurse qualification and current NMC registration.
- At least 5 years of experience in nursing, along with up-to-date knowledge of care supported by relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
- Familiarity with Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Regulations and DBS procedures.
- Strong understanding of subsequent legislation and disclosure requirements relevant to Nursing Home operation.
- Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and the ability to implement and observe them within the home.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to instruct and demonstrate care activities effectively.
- Proven organizational and planning abilities to ensure continuity of care.
- Motivational leadership skills, driving high standards of care and adaptability to cover a range of responsibilities.
This is a rewarding role that requires dedication, empathy, and a passion for delivering exceptional care. The salary for this position is £40,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of the role and the level of responsibility involved.
