About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial part in supporting women with severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability, ensuring positive outcomes through their care pathway.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and associated support services.
  • Participate in and provide 1:1 supervision.
  • Report to safeguarding agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Attend safeguarding meetings with Local Authorities.
  • Educate hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.

Requirements

  • A Social Work Degree.
  • Post ASYE.
  • At least 12 months UK direct Social Work experience.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience within mental health in-patient settings, including Acute services, PICU, High Dependency, and Secure Forensic.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant MH legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of MAPPA.
  • Strong knowledge of the process of MP, MHRT, CPA, and associated reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong assessment and care planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative MDT.
  • Excellent understanding of Safeguarding requirements and duty to refer to external agencies.
  • Driver's License (full UK) with access to a Vehicle-Willing to undertake home risk assessments.
