About the Role


Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team. We are a dynamic and supportive team that provides holistic and person-centred mental health services for people aged 18-65.


The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective healthcare within the team, performing comprehensive assessments of patient nursing needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivery according to changing healthcare needs. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete nursing records in line with NMC and Trust standards.


Key skills required for this role include excellent on-going assessment, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills. The post holder will work effectively in the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality mental health assessments, treatment programs, and manage risk.


As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise, with access to training and development opportunities. You will also be part of a supportive and experienced team that values clinical supervision and weekly group psychology supervision.


What You Will Do


You will be responsible for:



  • Delivering high-quality mental health assessments and treatment programs
  • Maintaining accurate and complete nursing records
  • Working effectively in the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and their carers
  • Providing education and support to service users and their carers
