Job Details

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a skilled Conservation Officer to join our team. This role will involve working with the Friends Group to deliver site and ecological improvement projects, plan and deliver weekly practical volunteer days, and promote the site to local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operational management of the Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve.
  • Deliver biodiversity creation and enhancement projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver the objectives of the management plan.
  • Help set operational standards and services at an exceptional level.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • HNC in Environmental Studies or Countryside Management or similar.
  • Current full driving licence.
