About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aeronautical Engineering Trainer and Curriculum Developer to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As an experienced Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs to Phase 2 (Initial Technical) and Phase 3 (Pre-employment Career development) trainees.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a resolute and focused individual to shape and nurture the next generation of Engineers and enhance the skill sets of personnel returning as Phase 3 students for additional training. You will work closely with our team to develop a theoretical and practical curriculum that will boost employee's workplace performance and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training theory and practical sessions.
  • Prepare reports on students' performance (academic and behavioural).
  • Prepare and conduct practical assessments, including marking and recording.
  • Develop and control training documents and other delivery media.
  • Propose improvements to training design and content.
  • General course administration.
  • Additional support duties crucial for the safe conduct of training and welfare of students.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Lvl 3 in Aircraft Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively describe complicated concepts to a diverse student audience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to project confidence in public speaking.
