Quality Engineer Role

Our client, a leading provider of firefighting technology, is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Factory Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvements, resolving issues, and reducing cost of poor quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare KPIs for submission to Factory Manager
  • Facilitate customer complaint investigations
  • Work with supply chain on all processes
  • Undertake First Article Inspection Reports
  • Support new product development
  • Conduct calibration of all measurement equipment
  • Assist in reviewing and updating procedures to support QMS
  • Facilitate audits from external bodies and 3rd party inspectors
  • Conduct internal process audits
  • Produce internal reports and relay to Factory Manager

Requirements:

  • Quality / Engineering knowledge
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Internal audit experience
  • Knowledge of problem solving withing engineering, continuous improvement processes (Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA)
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process and the ability to establish solutions
  • Excellent communication both verbally and written
  • An understanding of ISO9001 AND QMS
  • Close attention to detail
  • The ability to understanding technical documents
