Cybersecurity Threat Detection Specialist

We're seeking a Senior Offensive Security Engineer who drives excellence in our Information Security team. As part of a market-leading business, you'll explore new opportunities and influence global retailers. Your focus on detection engineering and threat simulation will help us improve our security capabilities.
As a key member of our team, you'll conduct periodic testing, analyze results, and implement improvements to our security controls. You'll work with other security professionals to develop and maintain testing frameworks and stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats and attack techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Validate the effectiveness of our security controls through various testing methods, including atomic testing, breach and attack simulations, and adversary simulations.
- Analyze testing results to identify gaps and trends, provide recommendations for improvement, and ensure their implementation.
- Collaborate with the security team to develop and maintain testing frameworks, ensuring the continued effectiveness of our security controls.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging cyber threats and attack techniques to inform your testing exercises.
- Experience in threat detection and validation, including atomic testing, breach and attack simulation, purple teaming, and adversary simulation.
- Proficiency in common security testing tools, such as Atomic Red Team, Caldera, Metta, Splunk Attack Range, APT Simulator, Mimikatz, Bloodhound, Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, Kali, Pentera, and SafeBreach.
- Able to translate threat intelligence and tactics into testing payloads and actionable detection logic for defensive operations teams.
