Asbestos Lab Analyst Job Opportunity

We are working closely with a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy based in the South East of England who are looking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and busy team and will be responsible for carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
  • Log all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
  • Bag, label, and store samples safely and correctly.
  • Prepare samples for analysis.
Requirements:
  • Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
  • Will have experience working within a UKAS accredited laboratory for a reputable Asbestos Consultancy.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
  • Excellent observation skills.
  • Able to communicate efficiently.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
