About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Climate Researcher to join our team at the Met Office.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in climate science and research, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The role will involve leading research projects, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating complex scientific findings to stakeholders.

What We Offer

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. As a hybrid worker, you will have the opportunity to work from home part-time, with flexibility to balance your work and personal life. Our office location will be your contractual place of work.

Requirements
  • PhD in climate science or related field
  • Extensive experience in research and analysis
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and annual leave.
