Job Title: Credit and Collections Manager

This is a challenging role for a Credit Controller Manager who will lead the Credit Control department for a Bristol-based business with £75m in turnover. The successful candidate will oversee the credit control function, manage risk, and ensure all financial transactions align with regulatory standards, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Head of Finance to improve processes and procedures
  2. Oversee the credit control function, ensuring timely and accurate management of customer accounts
  3. Manage risk and ensure financial transactions comply with regulatory standards, maintaining a high level of integrity and transparency
  4. Lead the Accounting & Finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the department meets its targets and objectives
  5. Prepare and present financial reports to the senior management team, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
  6. Develop and implement strategies to improve the credit control process, enhancing the overall financial stability of the organisation
  7. Work closely with other departments to ensure financial stability and alignment with business objectives
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  2. Sound knowledge of credit control procedures and practices, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
  3. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  5. Ability to analyse financial data and make informed decisions, with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies
