Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist to support our project on-site at a customer facility in Stevenage.
The successful candidate will lead the preparation process of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), utilizing Visual FAIR, and perform other quality engineering tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare thorough and accurate FAIRs in line with customer and AS9102 requirements.
- Collaborate with customer personnel to obtain required documentation for FAIR preparation.
- Identify potential solutions for issues arising during the FAIR preparation process.
- Provide concise feedback to customer quality, engineering, and design teams on roadblocks and facilitate feedback.
- Maintain an FAI tracker for review status, outcome, and issues identified.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' aerospace experience in quality or manufacturing engineering within the last 5 years.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9102 and AS9100 requirements.
- Understanding of Delta FAI requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings with a strong aerospace composites background.
- Hands-on experience with Visual FAIR and preparing FAIRs.
- Effective communication skills for articulating FAI issues verbally and in writing.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office applications and custom databases.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a UK National due to program security restrictions.
This role is classified as inside IR35, requiring an umbrella company. The estimated salary range for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
