Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our UK Shared Services Team. As part of this role, you will assist in delivering high-quality financial services to our customers, working closely with Management Accountants and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure timely and accurate reporting, taking ownership and accountability for the delivery of the Business Finance month end close and reporting.
- Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other relevant entries.
- Attend Project/Cost Centre reviews, providing relevant feedback and challenging the numbers.
- Prepare Balance Sheet Packs, AP06 & AP12 Statutory audit packs, and monthly QinetiQ Management Packs.
- Support Cost Centre Managers, project, and program managers alongside Management Accountants.
- Assist Management Accountants with forecasting and budget rounds, gaining experience and taking a lead when ready.
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
- To have attained or be working towards an accountancy-level qualification, such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or AAT, or provide evidence of recent relevant experience in a similar role.
